Magnetic Theraphy

[Hardware Control UX/UI]

Lead UX/UI Designer

PROBLEM
Magnetic therapy is clinically proven but the hardware controlling it was built for engineers, not the people actually using it. Therapists struggled with fragmented controls, and patients had no way to manage treatments independently at home.

ROLE
As lead UX/UI Designer, I worked embedded with physiotherapists, biomedical engineers, and developers from discovery through launch. Physiotherapists weren't just stakeholders they were co-designers, shaping every workflow and interaction pattern against real clinical scenarios.

PROCESS
The challenge was translating complex therapy protocols into a UI that felt effortless for two very different users: the clinician and the patient. I mapped both journeys, identified where control needed to be granular and where it needed to disappear, and designed a dual-mode interface that adapts to each context.

OUTCOME
One app. Complete control. Reduced setup time for therapists, full independence for patients, and professional-grade therapy accessible outside the clinic for the first time.
