UX/UI Designer
PROBLEM
Legal professionals spend a disproportionate amount of time navigating fragmented tax regulations, cross-referencing normative sources, and drafting compliance documents from scratch, time that should go toward higher-value advisory work. Existing tools were either generic or too technical, leaving a clear gap for an AI-native solution built specifically for tax law practitioners.
ROLE
As the designer behind Lawmind, I was responsible for the full UX/UI of the platform (from information architecture to interface design), working in close collaboration with the development team to bring the product to life. I also leveraged AI tools throughout the frontend build process, accelerating the design-to-production pipeline while maintaining a high standard of craft, usability, and accessibility in line with WCAG AA principles unified under one AI-native interface, designed in Figma and built into a functioning front-end with Claude Code, reducing friction at every step of a professional's workflow.
PROCESS
The core design challenge was making a complex, regulation-dense domain feel approachable and fast. I structured the platform around five key modules (Research, Drafting, Compliance, Library, and Monitor), each designed to match the mental model of a tax professional mid-workflow. Every interaction was built to reduce friction: smart search, contextual document generation, and a compliance analysis flow that turns dense policy documents into actionable insight. Throughout the process, accessibility was a key consideration, ensuring color contrast, typography, navigation patterns, and interaction feedback met WCAG AA standards. I collaborated continuously with developers to ensure both design intent and accessibility requirements translated precisely into the final product.
OUTCOME
A focused, professional-grade platform that measurably changes how legal practitioners work. Post-launch monitoring recorded up to 73% reduction in search time, validating both the structural decisions and the AI-assisted interface design. Lawmind is now a live product used by Italian tax law professionals.
