[Hardware Control UX/UI]
UX/UI designer
PROBLEM
Pressotherapy is a powerful recovery tool but the hardware controlling it was stuck in the past. Physical buttons, no screen, no feedback. For patients managing sessions at home and practitioners running multiple treatments at once, the device itself was the obstacle.
ROLE
As UX/UI Designer, I worked embedded with engineers and developers to redesign the product interface from scratch not as a cosmetic refresh, but as a fundamental rethink of how users interact with the device.
PROCESS
Before designing anything, I ran a UX AND UI analysis and usability tests with 100 patients to understand exactly where the experience broke down. The research revealed two distinct needs that had to coexist in one interface: the precision required for clinical protocols and the simplicity required for first-time, unsupported use. Every design decision was grounded in those findings.
OUTCOME
A single unified screen to set, monitor, and control treatments replacing a fragmented hardware panel with an interface that works for everyone. First-time users navigate it without guidance. Practitioners rely on it under clinical pressure. Same screen. Both users served.
